Come and celebrate 5 years with us! Friday, October 3 – Sunday, October 5, 2014
ATTN mushers, friends, family, and dog enthusiasts! Let’s get together for a fun fall getaway in the Northern MN forest just 17 miles North of Duluth Minnesota. Camping room available on the premises and in the forest. All ages and abilities are welcome!
There are multiple training loops available, the shortest being 3.5 miles from our driveway. The road is wide enough for 4 teams to pass going in the same direction. The trail is narrower and is a 6 mile loop from our driveway. You can also hit the North Shore snowmobile trail and get an unlimited amount of miles. It’s a great experience for dogs and mushers to practice passing, training, traveling, and camping with their dogs.
There will be experienced mushers here to help if anyone needs assistance or training suggestions. However, it’s not an instructional musher’s training camp.
We’ll have music, bonfires, and games for all ages! You’re welcome to come up on Friday and camp out until Sunday.
There is NO POWER or RUNNING WATER as we are 100% #offthegrid, you’ll have to carry in water for your dogs.
ALL MUSHING DISCIPLINES ARE WELCOME! Distance, sprint, touring, rec, dryland, etc.
If you don’t have any dogs and just want to come up and enjoy the woods in the fall, that’s okay too! There’s lots of hiking with the Superior Hiking Trail 2 miles down our road, 4 wheeling, & grouse hunting up here!
On Sunday, we will be having a wood splitting/stacking party if anyone is willing to join in. Dinner will be provided for eager workers!
