Driver Requirements – 2 Person Minimum
Sprint racing sled dogs are faster and stronger than the typical husky, they’re built for speed and power. The hardest part of driving your own team is taking off at the start. The number one rule in mushing is DON’T LET GO! The dog team goes from 0-20mph in less than a second! This is not a Sunday ride to church in your Grandmother’s Cadillac.
Every driver must:
- Have confidence in their abilities
- Be physically fit
- Have strong hands and arms
- Maintain good balance
- React quickly
- Able to multi-task while driving the dog team

What To Bring
Make sure you plan ahead and dress properly. It’s better to dress a little warmer than cooler, remember we are adding a 12-18 mph windchill factor to the ride.
Please bring ski goggles or sun glasses, some form of face protection. With the melting and freezing snow the dogs are kicking up a lot of small snow chunks.

When You Arrive
We will take you through the kennel introducing you to all of our canine athletes. During your experience you will learn many fun facts about sprint racing sled dogs and our sport. The dogs and sled(s) will be prepped for your adventure. You can help harness the dogs if you wish or just hang back and soak it all in. In a flurry of four legged anticipation one of our guides will hook up the dog team and down the trail we go!
